Our Goal

Interrupt the Cycle Before Crisis Strikes

Food insecurity and limited healthcare access compound each other. Through Enrollment Assistance, Education Outreach, Digital Literacy, and Transportation, CARE turns “you're eligible” into “you're enrolled, informed, and able to show up.”

01

Nutritious Food

Access to food assistance and nutrition support that households can actually use.

02

Preventive Care

Education people can act on — screenings, wellness, and early detection.

03

Clear Navigation

A practical path through healthcare and benefits systems.

04

Getting There

Help enrolling and support getting to appointments and offices.

Pillar 2

Education Outreach

Free workshops brought to shelters, schools, and community centers.

  • Preventive healthcare and early detection
  • Digestive and colon health
  • Nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Women's health and healthcare navigation
  • Clinic referral list and info booklet
Pillar 3

Digital Literacy Program

Closing the gap when barriers to care happen online first.

  • Step-by-step Medi-Cal and CalFresh online applications
  • Scam awareness for healthcare and benefits fraud
  • Telehealth setup and virtual appointment literacy
Pillar 4

Community Transportation

Approved benefits mean nothing if someone can't physically get there.

  • LA Metro LIFE Program enrollment support
  • $11 Metro taxi vouchers via CCSI
  • Navigator Model: accompany or coordinate rides to SSA, Medi-Cal, interviews, and medical visits
